Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) by adding 3.75 crore new policies during 2007-08 collected Rs 43,813 crore as premium alone on all India level, an LIC official said.

LIC Tirunelveli Senior Divisional Manager T S Subramanian said, as part of the LIC's golden jubilee foundation scheme two best plus-two students from each of the LIC divisions would be rewarded.

Moreover, the policies - money plus, market plus and jeevan bharathi - would be reintroduced taking into consideration the customers' support, he added.
