Sanraa Media signs prestigious & landmark co-production deal with Endemol

Sanraa Media in continuation of its brilliant run in this financial year has added one more jewel to its crown by signing prestigious and landmark co-production deal with leading global production company Endemol for the production of the animated series — The 99 based on the illustrated comics 'The 99', which are owned and published by the Teshkeel Media Group, Kuwait.

Under the agreement, major elements of the production for the 3D animated series comprising of 26 episodes will be undertaken by Sanraa Media. Development and day to day production will be overseen by Endemol UK.

The co-production deal also entitles Sanraa Media ltd to the distribution rights for the series in the territories of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Distribution for the rest of the world will be through Endemol International, the worldwide licensing and distribution arm of Endemol. The production of the first series will commence in January 2009 and reach final delivery in 2010.

Endemol is a global leader in entertainment programming, having established itself as the largest independent TV, cross platform and digital production company in the world. The group comprises a global network of companies that spans 25 countries on five continents.

Endemol produces premium entertainment for the world's major broadcasters and digital media platforms, including mobile and internet. The company annually distributes approximately 36,000 hours of programming from over 500 different shows in almost 60 countries. Endemol's library of content covers all genres including entertainment, game shows, reality TV, kids programming, comedy and drama.

The 99 as a concept is regarded as a valuable initiative to promote positive and entertaining role models for young people. The 99 animated series will follow the adventures of the Comic's superhero characters who must work together to maximize their powers. Each Member of The 99 embodies one of the 99 global values such as wisdom, mercy, strength or faithfulness and together they hail from 99 different countries on seven continents.
