The launch of the much-awaited ‘People's car’ worth Rs one lakh is just days away. So, how is the company preparing for the event?

Well, the Tatas surely don’t want to go nano in the scale of preparations for the launch of the car.

Over a thousand guests and over 100 media companies are likely be present for the mega show and the preparations are in full swing.

According to sources, Tata Motors is likely to spend more than Rs 1.5 -2 crore for the launch, for which event manager, Showdiff will be paid over a cool Rs one crore and a whopping Rs 30 lakh for rental space designated for 1000 car parks.

Tata Motors has mandated TopsGroup for the security and more than 150 security personnel and 30 bouncers have been hired.

However, the fear is—would these many security men be enough? Though the local police authority has not finalised the security fine print, over 200 policemen are expected to man the area and sources say that if required, the State Reserve Forces could also be deputed in anticipation of heavy crowds wanting to enter the event to have a look at the People's car.

As usual, there is a complete hush hush from Tata Motors before the event and they have completely barricaded the venue from the media. However, for now they have kept us on bay, but one hopes when the D-day comes, they can manage the thousands of uninvited auto enthusiasts who are expected to flock the venue.
