Reliance Industries (RIL) plans issuing a bonus share for every share held. The board of India's largest private sector firm by market capitalisation and oil refiner also recommended a dividend of Rs 13 per share. Reliance last issued a 1:1 bonus in October 1997.
RIL also released restated results for the year ended March 2009 to reflect the absorption of its Reliance Petroleum unit with effect from 1 April 2008. Net profit for the year was Rs 15,296 crore and net turnover stood at Rs 1,51,224 crore. The numbers are not comparable with that of the previous year because of the absorption of Reliance Petroleum.

Nikos Kardassis, who now heads Jet's North American operations, will replace Prock-Schauer as acting chief operating officer (CEO) for the next six months.
