Andhra Bank has announced that K. Ramakoteswara Rao, General Secretary, All India Andhra Bank Officers' Federation, was appointed as Officer Employee Director on the Board of Directors of Andhra Bank for a period of three years with effect from 10 August 2006 by Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (Banking Division), New Delhi. In terms of amendment to the Nationalised Banks (Management & Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Scheme, 1970 and 1980 and as notified in the extraordinary Gazette of India dated 15 September 2009 vide S.O. 2383(E) and 2384(E) respectively along with a copy of the Corrigendum issued vide S.O.No. 2402 (E) notified on September 18, 2009, the Officer Employee Director will cease to be Director after the completion of three years and will not continue thereafter until their successor has been nominated. In view of the said amendment. K. Ramakoteswara Rao, Officer Employee Director ceased to be a Director on the Board of the Bank since 26 September 2009.

The company made this announcement during the trading hours today, 16 October 2009.
