Net profit of HCL Technologies rose 55.87% to Rs 300.75 crore on a 8.68% increase in total income to Rs 1295.19 crore in Q2 September 2009 over Q1 June 2009. The result was declared before market hours today, 28 October 2009.

The board of Lanco Infratech approved a 10-for-1 stock split. Meanwhile, net profit of Lanco Infratech rose 219.49% to Rs 127.38 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 39.87 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 132.00% to Rs 1467.61 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 632.59 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Software firm Sasken Communication Technologies has acquired the multimedia software offerings and certain assets of US-based Ingenient Technologies for an undisclosed amount. Under the deal, Bangalore-based Sasken will get some of Ingenient's customer contracts and its engineering and sales teams, including those in Korea and Japan. The deal is effective immediately.

The board of Mahindra Forgings has given in principal approval for raising up to Rs 226 crore via a rights issue, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange.

Net profit of UTV Software Communications declined 33.25% to Rs 2.75 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 4.12 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 21.31% to Rs 79.23 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 65.31 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Nitin Fire Protection Industries declined 75.43% to Rs 1.43 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 5.82 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales declined 48.91% to Rs 16.17 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 31.65 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of IFCI declined 26.47% to Rs 190.48 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 259.06 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 7.30% to Rs 411.06 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 383.11 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Reliance Power rose 49.40% to Rs 70.53 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 47.21 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. There were no sales reported in the quarter ended September 2009 and during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals Corp declined 13.61% to Rs 36.12 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 41.81 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales declined 5.10% to Rs 350.93 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 369.78 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Mcleod Russel India rose 57.88% to Rs 192.19 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 121.73 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 23.13% to Rs 343.77 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 279.20 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Alfa-Laval India rose 71.55% to Rs 36.66 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 21.37 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 20.50% to Rs 243.55 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 202.11 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Hindustan Copper declined 18.86% to Rs 14.46 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 17.82 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales declined 31.77% to Rs 239.88 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 351.60 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Everest Kanto Cylinder declined 94.90% to Rs 1.08 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 21.19 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales declined 12.68% to Rs 92.83 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 106.31 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Kansai Nerolac Paints rose 95.75% to Rs 52.99 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 27.07 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 14.99% to Rs 448.79 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 390.28 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of JK Lakshmi Cement rose 75.48% to Rs 47.17 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 26.88 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 17.68% to Rs 345.19 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 293.34 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of 3M India rose 3.04% to Rs 13.24 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 12.85 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008. Sales rose 8.55% to Rs 208.12 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 191.72 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.

Net profit of Finolex Cables rose 1497.22% to Rs 28.75 crore in the quarter ended September 2009 as against Rs 1.80 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2008.
