The talks for sale of Patni Computers have gathered momentum as the three Patni brothers and private equity firm General Atlantic Partners are all set to exit the company, sources told NDTV. Sources said that talks for potential buyout of Patni have been initiated and Ambit Capital has been given the mandate to look for buyers.
The company has approached dell-Perot, IBM, Fujitsu and Accenture though L&T Infotech may still emerge as a dark horse, sources said.
The management of Patni expects formal bids by January, sources said.
The company spokesperson was yet to respond to a request for comment.
