IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects rose 1.94% to Rs 345 at 11:37 IST on BSE, after a joint venture of the company secured an order worth Rs 1145.88 crore.
The company announced the new order win during trading hours today, 4 November 2009.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 303.05 points, or 1.97%, to 15,707.99.
On BSE, 1.08 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 4.81 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 350 and a low of Rs 339.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 424.80 on 17 October 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 82.25 on 23 January 2009.
The mid-cap stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 3 November 2009, falling 12.60% as compared to the Sensex's 10.09% fall. It had also underperformed the market in the past one quarter, rising 1.36% as compared to the Sensex's return of 3.26%.
The company's equity capital is Rs 26.70 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
The current price of Rs 345 discounts the company's Q2 September 2009 annualized EPS of Rs 14.61, by a PE multiple of 23.61.
A joint venture (JV) of IVRCL with with Unity Infraprojects secured a contract from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for construction of tunnel using tunnel-boring machine (TBM). The project is to be executed within 60 months. IVRCL holds 50% in the JV.
In early October 2009, IVRCL secured orders aggregating Rs 523.31 crore.
IVRCL had on 10 September 2009 bagged orders worth Rs 557 crore from Government of Maharashtra, NSG Kolkata and others for laying roads, construction of buildings and water piping package.
IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects' net profit fell 14.6% to Rs 48.77 crore on 7.6% rise in net sales to Rs 1245.10 crore in Q2 September 2009 over Q2 September 2008. The company declared its results on 30 October 2009.
The company's current order book stands at Rs 19000 crore, which is 3.82 times of its sales of Rs 4969.13 crore for the year ended March 2009, giving strong revenue visibility.
