After hinting at it, the next model from Rolls-Royce has now been confirmed. It will be called the Wraith, and will debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Wraith nameplate revives the car that the company built in the late 1930s.
There is very little being revealed about the new car, except a profile silhouette released by the company today.
It is being billed as the fastest Rolls-Royce ever, according to an official statement. In fact, this will be the most powerful Rolls-Royce to have played host to the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, the statement adds.
Now that's an audacious claim considering all cars from the marque have boasted performance credentials.
Sources indicate that the car is a coupe based on the Ghost platform, and will likely sport a twelve cylinder engine with power in excess of 650 bhp.
It is a significant step by a niche brand, which believes in staying that way - niche, and so the Wraith can be expected to be one of the most hotly anticipated reveals at the annual Geneva show this year.
