New Delhi: FMCG firm Henkel India on Friday said it has received shareholders' nod to rechristen itself as Jyothy Consumer Products Ltd, following its merger with Jyothy Laboratories Ltd.
The shareholders of the company have through postal ballot overwhelmingly passed a special resolution for changing the name of the company, Henkel India said in a filing to the BSE.
Out of the total number of votes polled, 99.93 per cent votes were in favour of the resolution while 0.07 per cent were against it. The result of the postal ballot was declared on July 11, it added.
The board of directors of the company had already approved the amalgamation of the company with Jyothy Laboratories in its meeting held last month, the company said.
Henkel India operates in business areas of laundry, home care, cosmetics, toiletries and hair care.
