New Delhi:
S Varadarajan was today selected to head Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), India's second biggest oil refiner.
Mr Varadarajan, who is currently director (finance) in BPCL, was selected by government's headhunter Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) in interviews held today, sources said. He will replace R K Singh who will leave the office on September 30.
Mr Vardarajan candidature will now be vetted by the Cabinet Committee on Appointments headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
