Shares of Ashok Leyland gained as much as 3.6 per cent to touch a high of Rs 91.95 as the company posted a growth of 31 per cent in December sales.
Ashok Leyland sold 12,209 units in December 2015 compared to 9,290 units in the year-ago.
The Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MHCV) segment of Ashok Leyland registered a growth of 35 per cent as 9,758 units were sold during December.
The growth in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) was 18 per cent to 2,451 units.
As on 10.57 a.m., shares of Ashok Leyland were trading at Rs 91.45 up 3.04 per cent outperforming the broad market indicator, Sensex, which was down 1.11 per cent.
