New Delhi: Brokerage firm CLSA has said the state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited - is set to gain after the recent breakdown of Chinese equipment in Haryana. Two plants at Yamuna Nagar and Khedar in Haryana are shut down, sparking widespread outages across the state.

"The recent project break down in Haryana highlights technical issues with Chinese equipment in India," CLSA said in its note.

The brokerage estimates that nearly 30 per cent of Chinese capacity has faced serious problems so far. The rupee depreciation and likely import duty will  add pressure on Chinese vendors.
The market share of Chinese suppliers will fall from ~40 per cent to 10 per cent, CLSA estimates.

BHEL was among the top Nifty gainers today, rising 2.5 per cent to Rs 220.35 on the NSE at 11.26 a.m.
