NBCC Bags New Order, Gains 5%

In a filing to exchanges, NBCC said it has bagged Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) works worth Rs 1,237 crore in Odisha and the company will sign an agreement with the Rural Development Ministry on January 12 for this.

Shares in state-run National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) gained over 5 per cent to a day high of Rs 847.50 on Friday after the company said it has bagged an order worth Rs 1,237 crore.

In a filing to exchanges, NBCC said it has bagged Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) works worth Rs 1,237 crore in Odisha and the company will sign an agreement with the Rural Development Ministry on January 12 for this.

NBCC is engaged in the business of providing project management consultancy (PMC) services for civil construction projects, civil infrastructure for power sector and real estate development.

Shares in the company ended 3.07 per cent higher at Rs 829.90 apiece, outperforming the broader Nifty, which closed 0.61 per cent higher.
