Mercedes Benz: Mercedes launches new open top car in India called as SLS AMG Roadster. It has also presented a product in its M class series along with future design cues in the A class series. The Daimler managed auto manufacturer gave some more idea on its performance in the Indian markets. “The Mercedes Benz sold 7,430 units in period from January to December in 2011,” the company announced. It further expects a 30 per cent year on year growth.

Nano clocked sales of 7,400 units in December 2011. It appears that Tata Motors efforts are bearing fruit. The company wants to launch CNG variants. However, Tata Motors is likely to benefit from the surge in the European demand for Evoque, the vehicle from the JLR product range. The company is increasing sales target to over 100,000 vehicles, according to one research note.
