Rupee volatility to continue, needs intervention: Kaushik Basu
Kaushik Basu, chief economic advisor to the finance ministry, on Friday said that volatility in the movement of the rupee against the dollar was expected to continue. However, the depreciation of the rupee is not unique, he said, pointing out that currency depreciation is a global phenomenon, especially among emerging markets.
