Dow Jones hits 4-year high on positive job report

The US economy added 243,000 jobs, ahead of estimates, unemployment rate falls to 8.3 per cent. The Dow jones jumped toward its highest level since May 2008 on the blockbuster jobs report. The US Senate approved cutting back million dollar bonuses for the executives of housing finance firms Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Meanwhile, the private-sector activity in the 17-nation eurozone returned to growth in January, which was a first move back to growth in five months.
