I Unnikrishnan, MD, Manappuram General Finance & Leasing Ltd told NDTV Profit that the company has not accepted any public deposits after March 2011. The Reserve Bank of India on Monday said that Manappuram Finance Ltd was not permitted by law to accept or renew deposits from the public. "The RBI notice will not impact our financials and credit rating," clarified Unnikrishnan. He further said that the will conduct a board meet on February 10 to consider corporate governance practices.
